This Year Free Eye Operation target with IOL is 500 HISTORY OF THE CLUB / LOCATION : Within 25 years of life span, this club earned many landmarks in the district. It has acquired a plot of land at Kacharibasti where a multipurpose service centre was erected. The club achieved many milestones during the tenure of various presidents and has great potentiality of leadership quality, maintaining the rich heritage and the tradition for more than two decades. All of them had their own contributions in raising every brick of the strong structure of the club. The club is doing with difference with their endeavourment in all spheres of service activities, be it education, health care, sports & games, culture upliftment, public utilities and social reforms. The club was served by 25 past presidents out of which Lion Dr. R. Chakraborty, Lion G. Changkakoty and Lion Sankarlal Agarwala left for heavenly abode untimely and five past president left the club and 18 past presidents are still in the club. Two of them became District Govenors they Lion J. K. Sarawgi and Lion Dr. S. S. Harlalka. The Club has great potentialiality and springs up with novel ideas. The permanent projects of this club are HOMEOPATHIC CLINIC, ADOPTED SCHOOL AT PANBAZAR, ADOPTED VILLAGE LIBRARY, ADULT EDUCATION CENTRE, BUS SHED AT JHALUKBARI/R.G.B. ROAD/MANIKNAGAR/M.G.ROAD, WELCOME BOARDS 7 HOARDINGS, DRINKING WATER PROJECTS.
